Starseed is the U.K. equivalent to American hard rock band Shinedown. No
Skynard-fueled ballads appear on the album
Peace Machine, just rock hard riffs.
While Starseed offers an in your face attitude, they fail to stand out on their own
with this album.

The lyrical content of “Pill” and “The Untimely Death of Sobriety” sound all too
familiar from radio waves. The theme of drugged out rock stars has been played
out. While this makes the band generic and easy to dismiss, there is still some
merit to be addressed.

Starseed offers hard rock without the cliché screamo trend. While many of
songs stress to be mainstream,
Peace Machine never slows the tempo down.

Starseed is a band with a promising future in the hard rock genre.
Peace
Machine
is just the beginning for these dudes. The group will be interesting to
hear when they have progressed down the road.
